Energy, this is the very substance that our society needs to operate. However, what is it really? According to classical physics, energy is the ability to do work, with work being define as force times distance. Now we receive most of our energy from a substance called fossil fuels. These are fuels that are derived from the fossils of long dead organisms from the ancient past. However, there is a problem. The problem is that these substances are in short supply.
